From living the missionary life these past few weeks, I can tell you that ministry looks different every day. You wake up & let the Lord take you, literally. Some days you’re spending countless hours digging dirt, and other days you are sitting in a random persons home for 20min preaching Jesus to them. Whatever the day looks like, ministry is happening & God is moving. This week in Costa Rica, I have quickly realized that as a missionary or even a follower of Christ; ministry becomes your life.

Ministry is our hosts & their missionary team washing our feet. And praying that God be brought to wherever our feet may stand. I personally have never had my feet washed by someone else in a biblical matter, so it was so amazing see the genuine act of love and service these people had for us.

Ministry is getting dirty! Sweating in the hot sun, digging mud, raking leaves, moving rocks… all of it! Transforming things for God’s glory & getting the job done.

Ministry is smiling & interacting with children! Every single child we have met thus far have been so amazed with us! We haven’t even been to a specific children’s ministry; we simply just get to pour into these young hearts as we are doing our everyday life!

Ministry is joyful! It’s laughing & hollering. Ministry is not always a serious bible teaching or a long testimony. It can honestly be so much fun to seek & serve the Lord with people who love it just as

much as you do.

& sometimes, ministry is quiet. The time we get to talk to Jesus one on one & dwell in His presence. This is one of those times when you think no one is watching. When really someone could getting a glimpse of Jesus from you. It’s motivating to others when they see you take a pause in your busy day to talk to the Lord.

Like they say, “Ministry is life & life is ministry” If you love the Lord, there is nothing that makes you more or less qualified than the next person, so minister to people! Express & spread your faith! Let people know that they are missing out on how awesome the God we serve is!
